About the Book
This 80 page book is a compilation of photographs taken from my two visits to this beautiful island of Bali in Indonesia. My first visit to Bali was in 2007. I was mesmerised by beauty of the island and the friendly and honest people there. On my second visit in 2010, I soaked myself into their arts and culture, staying in their cultural heartland of Ubud, and followed their activities, rituals and ceremonies, so steeped in culture and tradition, dictated by their religion of Hinduism and undiluted by time.

I am a family physician with a group practice in Malaysia, part-time medical researcher and Family Medicine teacher in a medical college. I had been involved in photography as a hobby from 1975 and today I am doing stock photography and also working in my spare time as an event photographer especially in sports. I had done three photography exhibitions to date and had won a few competitions in between, the most recent being the 2010 Prix de la Photographie Paris (PX3); first prize in the non-professional category of 'photojournalism sports'.
