I have been fascinated by colors, shapes, texture and pattern for as long as I can remember. When the opportunity came to buy a new macro lens for my Canon D-SLR a new world opened up to me. This macro world was intriguing. I had never before been able to study the finest details and shapes of small insects, flowers and other objects. This book focuses mainly on studies of flowers and insects, and they are shot at home in my garden or in France during my Summer holiday. There are also opportunities to make interesting abstractions with a macro lens. Maybe that will be my next project?
