On Her Terms emphasizes ownership of space, identity, and narrative highlighting women who compete, lead, and exist in sports without needing validation or permission.

This body of work centers athletes as they define themselves through performance, preparation, and presence. Rather than framing women’s sports through comparison or expectation, these images present athletes as they are competing, leading, and existing within their sport on their own terms.

As a former athlete, my work is driven by a desire to highlight the strength, discipline, and identity that extend beyond the final score or moment of action. Through both movement and stillness, I aim to capture the emotional and physical realities of sports, emphasizing not only performance but individuality.
