About the Book
Hidden Sydney is a fine-art collection of underwater photographs exploring the hidden marine life of Sydney's coastline. From elusive seahorses and sea dragons to vibrant nudibranchs and intelligent cephalopods, each image reveals a world often overlooked beneath the surface.
Accompanied by short poetic reflections, the photographs invite readers to pause, observe and discover beauty in the small details of the underwater landscape. This is not a field guide, but a quiet exploration of form, texture and presence.
Created entirely in Sydney waters, Hidden Sydney presents a unique perspective on one of Australia's most extraordinary yet rarely seen natural environments.

Australia
I have always been drawn to the small and easily overlooked. As an underwater photographer and diving instructor based in Sydney, I spend much of my time searching for the details hidden beneath the surface—seahorses tucked into reefs, drifting sea dragons, nudibranchs no bigger than a fingernail, and other marine life that often goes unnoticed. Through photography and writing, I try to share not only what I find, but what those encounters feel like.
