At the edge of Lincoln, Nebraska, the Sunken Gardens rest in a bowl of quiet earth — a place where color gathers, light softens, and time seems to slow. Visiting in late June of 2026, photographer Michael Blake wandered through the year’s theme, “A Patchwork Garden,” capturing the gentle order and wild charm stitched across the landscape.
