    Vietnam

Our journey began in Hanoi, a city of lakes, busy streets, hidden alleyways, historic monuments, and vibrant markets. An evening water puppet show with live folk music was a memorable introduction to Vietnam.

On Cat Ba Island, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, we explored impressive caves, including one that served as a hospital during the Vietnam War. A sunny cruise through Halong Bay revealed one of the world’s most spectacular natural landscapes.

In Hue, we enjoyed the city’s culture, food, and the famous Thien Mu Pagoda on the Perfume River. We then travelled to Hoi An, the most attractive city of the trip, with its lantern-lit river, charming bridges, historic buildings, and lively atmosphere.

From Ho Chi Minh City we visited the Mekong Delta, where life moves at a slower pace. Traditional food, bustling markets, local crafts, and the warmth of the people made this a highlight of the journey.

We ended our tour in Saigon. Visits to the War Remnants Museum and the Cu Chi Tunnels provided powerful reminders of Vietnam’s recent history.

One unforgettable feature of Vietnam was the vast number of motorbikes filling its streets. The perfect finale was exploring Saigon on the back of a vintage Vespa scooter.
