LYONS MEN volume 4 is a series of work that began as graphite drawings and incorporates Lyons’ paintings, photography, digital drawings, oil pastels and other work. The book is not so much a collection of artwork as its own piece of art. The book is a meditation on masculinity, how masculinity is presented, and what interferes with that. And finally it is about the time we are in today, the propaganda of toxic masculinity, brutalism, futurism and digital noise affecting positive and affectionate masculinity. There are several nudes in the book.
