About the Book
Interwoven portraits and photographs capture a very grand "Epoch of Art,' centered at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in the District. The "Art World" was comprised of a larger community, beyond the artists, including curators, gallery owners, critics, extended family members, and more.
All of the lives intersected, overlapped, in professional and personal ways. It was definitely an exciting era which are captured in this book of photographs, portraying the dynamic, eccentric, individual and unique roles played out with a lot of drama and consequence.
There was certainly a lot of mutual respect and real friction, because all of "the players" were so intense about their work. Decades later ~ here are the photographs and the memories, extending out into the world of art.
