What began as a simple thought for Sangeeta’s 60th birthday soon turned into something far more memorable. Instead of a large celebration, we chose a short five day journey through Amsterdam and Paris, ending with an intimate surprise cake cutting at a quiet café on her birthday.

The trip reminded us that what truly makes a vacation special is not just the destination, but the people you share it with. Some places were familiar to a few of us, yet every street, canal, and late night walk felt new again because we experienced them together.

From endless walks through Amsterdam and moments of laughter over small travel mishaps, to wandering through the beauty of Paris past midnight in search of dinner, the journey became a collection of shared memories rather than a checklist of places visited.

If there was one shortcoming, it was simply this. The journey ended too soon.
