Mark Gammill is a writer-poet based in Visalia. He was deeply influenced by the confessional poets of the twentieth century and writers like Ernest Hemingway. From the outset, his work began exploring the intimate terrains of love, longing, and loss with an unwavering commitment to the personal over the purely observational. By his early twenties, Mark had written dozens of poems centered on lost love—pieces that would later serve as the foundation for his debut collection, "Recurring Dreams." Mark has also written a short story collection called "For Old Time's Sake." In recent years, he has begun pairing his stories and poetry with his own visual artwork, creating a more immersive experience for his readers. Mark's books bring together more than 20 years of writing, weaving past & present into a cohesive meditation on memory, reflection & emotional truth. At its heart, the work is an invitation to reflect and perhaps discover a little of your own story within the books.
