About the Book
Portraits of flowers photography. While creating Portrait of Flowers, our wish was that this album might offer a moment of reflection and wonder at the beauty and delicate complexity of flowers. That it might allow the viewer to stop, breathe, and marvel at the natural, simple, yet utterly perfect beauty of flowers.
These photo were taken by us over the course of a year and coalated into a book. Portrait of Flowers is not a scientific publication, nor an essay on the iconography of flowers in art history, nor a study of their influence on culture, beliefs, or traditions. Our intention in creating this album is much simpler: to linger on the beauty of flowering plants. To pause with their colours and forms, and to allow yourself to truly experience their fragile charm.
