About the Book
The West Elk Mountains, with peak elevations in the 11,000-13,000 foot range, are located in the Gunnison River Basin in west-central Colorado. Most of the land in the area is owned and managed by the U.S. Forest Service or the National Park Service. I have had the privilege of being able to photograph fall color in the area for many years, and have presented my favorite images in this book.
