    Laurie Roberts is a Southern storyteller, Bible teacher, musician, and ordained minister with a heart for the broken and a passion for the redeeming grace of Jesus Christ. She holds a Doctorate of Philosophy in Theology and Biblical Counseling (Ph.D.). Her doctoral studies focus on practical ministry and counseling, building upon her advanced certifications in Biblical Counseling, Grief and Trauma Counseling, and multiple other areas of care. With decades of ministry, motherhood, and personal testimony behind her, Laurie writes and speaks with grit, warmth, and holy reverence for the ordinary places where God’s glory breaks in. Together with her husband, James “Bear” Jones, she founded Still Point Biblical Counseling Center in San Angelo, Texas. Still Point is a place of refuge dedicated to serving individuals and families navigating sexual assault recovery, adoption journeys, addiction, marriage and family struggles, grief, trauma, depression, and anxiety.
