About the Book
Photographed in the medinas of Morocco, this photo book explores shop mannequins as witnesses to everyday life. Removed from their commercial role, these figures blur the boundary between the inanimate and the living. Scuffed faces, faded paint and improvised repairs reveal traces of time, movement and neglect. Set against the visual intensity of the medina, the mannequins emerge as quiet characters — stand-ins for absent bodies, anonymous yet intimate, familiar yet unsettling. The work invites reflection rather than explanation, asking what these figures have seen, and what stories pass silently before them.
