About the Book
This book is the result of a 8 year creative collaboration between model Martha Gromova and photographer Georgy Chernyadyev.
It brings together works created over the course of a decade — from the earliest photographs to the most recent images. Rather than a conventional retrospective, the book unfolds as a living chronicle of an evolving relationship, shaped by time, experience, and shared attention.
The photographs are accompanied by personal texts written by both the photographer and the model. These texts do not explain the images, but exist alongside them — as memories, inner reflections, and lived moments from within the act of photographing itself.
The book explores the fragile boundary between gaze and presence, control and trust, form and sensation. Here, the model is no longer merely an object of observation, and the photographer is no longer a distant observer. Their interaction becomes the space in which the image is formed.
All works in this volume feature a single model — Martha Gromova — allowing the reader to trace not only a visual evolution, but also the transformation of body, experience, and inner state as reflected through photography.
This book is about time, intimacy, and attention.
About photography not as documentation, but as a conversation — one that unfolds and deepens over years.
