About the Book
Idaho Falls is easily overlooked. Nestled along the Snake River for well over 100 years, its history is embedded with the pioneers who explored and eventually settled the west. As a gateway community to the Greater Yellowstone area, and proximate to Grand Teton National Park and the Idaho National Laboratory, the little city by the falls has welcomed visitors and new-comers to enjoy a quiet, easy way of life. This book endeavors to capture much of the character of Idaho Falls from perspectives both predictable and less so, telling some history, some personal recollections, coupled with rich imagery and sprinkled with a little humor that celebrates the people who made this a little oasis in the desert.
