About the Book
The Irish Social Club was a unique diaspora space for the Irish in Britain. Run primarily by 1950s emigrants from Ireland, their children, the second-generation Irish, were best placed to observe their parents' migration journey. Immersed in Irish culture at 'The Club' this generation navigated growing up in Britain with a notion that 'home' was somewhere else.
