Exploring Gibraltar and the Rock
It was my first trip to this beautiful Country in September 2025
I spent a week exploring every area. Meeting the Barbary Macaques. Seeing the people. Walking up and in the rock. Walking through knowmans land to Spain and crossing the border. The Rock of Gibraltar formed approximately 200 million years ago during the Jurassic period, primarily from limestone created by the accumulation of marine organisms' remains, shaped by tectonic activity and erosion. The plates from the Americas and Europe pushed the sea material up in to form the rock.
