    About the Book

Aesthetics From The Veins of America is a visual record of discovery, craft, and the slow intentionality found in shooting 35mm film. What began with a gifted Nikon S2 rangefinder from a 98 year old neighbor became a years long exploration of light, place, and the small details that shape a life. Through travels across New York, Houston, Galveston, Seattle, and everywhere in between, the images reflect a way of seeing shaped by patience, curiosity, and a deep respect for the analog process.

The photographs capture ordinary moments made extraordinary through texture, color, and atmosphere — wet streets in Little Italy glowing under neon, quiet corners of the Pacific Northwest, the worn charm of Gulf Coast towns, and the shifting horizon of everyday life. Alongside the imagery are reflections on learning film the hard way, the value of slowing down, and the creative spirit that keeps pulling the artist back to the camera.

Shot entirely on 35mm film, this collection is both a personal journey and an invitation: to notice more, to move slower, and to find beauty in places often overlooked.
