About the Book
His travels unfold through light, distance, and patience—each journey shaped by a deep curiosity about the land and the life within it. This collection brings together photographs gathered across the American Southeast and Northeast, where mountain ridges, coastal marshes, open skies, and historic ground converge in quiet harmony.
From the mist-layered peaks of the Smokies to the warm, expansive landscapes of Florida, from the rugged shoreline of Maine to the forests and historic towns of Georgia and North Carolina, each destination reveals a distinct sense of place. The images move fluidly between sweeping landscapes, intimate wildlife encounters, soaring airshows, and enduring historical structures—moments that speak to both motion and stillness, power and permanence.
Working in black-and-white infrared, traditional monochrome, and rich color, he interprets each scene through a different visual language. Infrared transforms familiar terrain into luminous, dreamlike compositions. Classic black and white distills form, texture, and contrast. Color captures the natural vibrancy of sky, earth, and atmosphere. Together, these approaches create a layered visual narrative—one that reflects not only where he traveled, but how he experienced each place.
This body of work is both a record of exploration and a personal interpretation of the American landscape—an invitation to slow down, observe closely, and rediscover the beauty that reveals itself when light, time, and place align.
