    About the Book

    Edit

The story behind this issue centres on a trek inspired by a fascination with Iceland’s landscapes and wilderness. Time spent exploring Hornstrandir, an unpopulated region in the very north-west, offered emotional and thought-provoking moments of stillness and silence amidst fjords, mountains, and rivers. Wilderness areas can also pose dangers, as one adventure day in Hornstrandir demonstrated. A journey, recorded in diary form, became a blend of poetry and prose that seeks to capture the rhythm of the wilderness itself: isolation, silence, and a fragile thread connecting humanity to the natural world.

Married for over fifty years he has 2 adult children. With a slower pace in life, he is exploring sketching as a supplement to creating photo image
