Born Shropshire, UK 1973 In 1996 I graduated from Edinburgh College of Art with a First Class degree in Drawing and Painting. I then went on to complete an Masters at Winchester School of Art in Barcelona. I have exhibited in a variety of venues in the United Kingdom and abroad. In 1999 I was selected by Turner Prize winner Keith Tyson to exhibit in New Contemporaries. I have been an artist in residence at the Grizedale Forest and I have work in collections in Amsterdam, Edinburgh and London. My recent work focuses predominately on painting, exploring the use of colour, form and texture. These landscapes are assembled using found fragments of images collected from magazines and personal photographs, forming the starting point from which the landscapes grow
