About the Book
This book contains the original poetry, essays and artwork by my uncle, Steven Craig Smithers, who died in September of 2003.
During his life, Steve was burdened with mental illness, more specifically, paranoid schizophrenia. This debilitating and tragic illness not only tortures the one with the illness, but has far reaching and heartbreaking effects on family and friends as well.
I have priced this book at just $5.00 above the cost of printing as I plan to donate 100% of the book's profits to charity. Once I have identified the worthy charity - one that deals with either autism or mental health issues, I will supplement this post. Maybe some of you have suggestions?
