About the Book
Me and my wife Zdenka again walked part of the way from the Pacific coast to White Sands and back. We had a rental Nissan Pathfinder car, which was not ideal for occasional sleepovers, but it was manageable.
It was nice that we were mentally prepared for the long journey that awaited us – the Pacific coast with rain showers and then the extreme heat in Death Valley. A big surprise for us was that Race Tracks was free of stones.
At White Sands, we "enjoyed" every weather, even a storm in the backcountry camping.
This book has a lot of photos that are slowly becoming history mixed with unrepeatable memories.
