About the Book
This book explores my moving into the studio where I turned to figurative works involving drawing, painting, sculpture and monotypes.
Art is my voice, a vehicle through which I express my thoughts, opinions, feelings, and emotions. I always try to infuse my works with a mood, a story, hopefully creating a subtle invitation for the viewer to engage and interact with the work.
Sometimes the invitation is a quiet suggestion through an expression or a gesture, and sometimes it is the harmonies of light, color and value by which I invite the viewer to enter the work. I always hope the work reveals my deep commitment to the emotional qualities of my experience.
