About the Book
True Colors is a photographic series that artistically brings my love of color and interaction with those around me to the page. This project is presented in the form of a photography book and multiple large metal prints. True Colors is all about color and portraiture. With a diverse cast of models, lighting, and backdrops I have been able to create a series of bold eye-catching photographs that showcase the vast possibilities in which we see colors interact with each other. True Colors perfectly highlights my love of magnificent color and drama in my photography

Jillian semmel is a photographer and a soon to be graduate of Stetson University. She is a Digital Arts major focusing in photography. Jillian joined Hatter Network Stetson’s student media org in her freshman year (’19) as a staff photographer. From fall of 2020-spring 2023 Jillian held the role of Photo Editor of Hatter network specializing in portraiture. Jillian is based out of the Tampa Bay Area and Deland, Florida. Jillian has been awarded Photographer of the year 2020-2023 by Hatter network. Her photography has been published three times in Stetson’s literary magazine Touchstone. With her work in Hatter network, she has become a national award winning photographer.
