For any writer, the idea of writing a poem, novel, children's book, play, or magazine article has its roots somewhere—there is an origin of influence or inspiration. This book is no exception. The poems in this collection were influenced by the authors' environment, social surroundings, and state of mind. "Wandering Soul" looks for answers to the turmoils of daily life, to unsettling questions about our social surroundings, to meaning on a path into the future, hoping for an encounter with the truth. Victor Vélez
Cincinnati, Ohio

Victor Vélez was born in Puerto Rico but raised in New York City; he started writing in the early 80s as a freelance writer. He studied Communication Arts at St. Francis College in Brooklyn, New York. He is a movie lover, a photographer, and an active Salsa and Latin Jazz musician. Author of fifteen books, he teaches at the Clifton Cultural Arts Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he currently lives.
