About the Book
This portfolio includes representative samples of Buzz Pioso's urban street photography. Recurring subjects, themes, and techniques of his work are included such as people walking at full stride, crosswalks, street portraits, pets, up close, and the Metro. All the images prominently feature people and/or pets as subjects, often up close, but always as a primary element in the scene. As such, the demeanor, moods, and expressions of the subjects drive the character of the image. A wide range of emotions are present on faces and/or expressed as body language within the images—joy, stress, anxiety, concern, anger, scorn, focus, bemusement, and more. No matter the person’s outward behavior, each image is intended to positively portray the subject(s) and location within the frame.
