About the Book
In layered compositions that hover somewhere between the mediums of photography, collage, and painting, artist Jenee Mateer allows chance pollination, evolution and the interplay of control and chaos to reveal a connection between gardening and making art. Alluding to the metaphorical connection between flowers and the female or feminine she celebrates a diverse group of women, transformed and unified by bold color, pattern and botanical forms, re-affirming our connection to the natural world.
