Mark started photography as a hobby in his late 20’s inspired by his then wife exploring the local wildlife and bird watching. After raising a family of three he got back into photography in his early 50’s and began shooting nudes of friends and paid models shortly thereafter. Although he started shooting nudes much later in life he has always been attracted to the art form. For many years in his 20’s he kept a photo from Maplethorpe tapes to his mirror. Helmut Newton is also a favorite of his. Much of Mark’s work now is inspired by much older nudes from the early 19th century. Mark also enjoys portrait and street photography and has shot countless images of each genre in the last 10 years. Mark has created one zine (Living Colors) with plans on many more in the near future.
