About the Book
1845, Ajaccio. Judge M. Bermutier has come into contact with a case, that will conjure up many questions, but manifests no answers.
Sir. John Rowell has moved to Ajaccio, after traveling the world. Having fled his fatherland, it is apparent that Sir. John is shrouded in mystery. M. Bermutier discovers a horrific object in Sir. John’s possession. A severed hand. A year passes before Judge. Bermutier plans to make another visit, only to be told that Sir. John Rowell had been found dead during the night. Rumours evolve around the city about the case, Sir. John and the puncture wounds in his neck. M. Bermutier inspects the scene, only to discover that the severed hand, once displayed on the mantelpiece, is missing.
Will Judge M. Bermutier follow those around him, and open his mind to the possibility of the paranormal? Or will he continue to be haunted by the suspicious circumstances surrounding the biggest mystery of his career?
