George Kelson popularized the gaudy Atlantic salmon flies during the Victorian era. His "The Salmon Fly" (1895) is considered a dogma even among the 21st century fly dressers. In "The Salmon Fly" are 8 beautiful colored plates. It was author's challenge to dress, frame, and present all of them. The project took the various stages of author's life. Total 52 flies (plus 6 flies from Kelson's next publication "Tips"). Through the course of the project, author felt to have a glimpse of Kelson's character. Author sincerely hopes this new publication would be helpful and informative for many contemporary fly dressers who also pursue the art of the Atlantic salmon flies.
