    About the Book

    Edit

But What Do You Think? is a two-part poetry collection that encapsulates the mistreatment, violence, fear, lack of justice and compassion that come with existing while Black. It also demonstrates how cries for help are often misread and/or ignored while dealing with the difficulty that comes with trusting and loving oneself through it all.

My name is Parruh Dox and I am a 22 year old poet hailing from Brooklyn, NY. I use my poetry to express my thoughts on matters that I am passionate about as well as things that maybe a little harder for me to verbalize. A lot of my writing is centered around my own hardships that have come with existing and finding ways to love myself and be kind with myself. I also write pieces on the experiences of being Black in America and what it is like to exist in our bodies. I hope to share so much more work with you all.
