Die etwa 60km lange nordöstlichste kanarische Insel im atlantischen Ozean beherbergt mehr als 100 Vulkane. Aktive grosse Vulkanausbrüche gab es in den letzten 2 Jahrhunderten allerdings keine mehr. Die Lavaströme bedecken aber heute noch fast ein Viertel der Inselfläche und beenden ihren Weg oft erst im Meer.
Meine Ziele in Lanzarote waren bizarre Vulkan- und Mondlandschaften. Völlig fasziniert habe ich daneben Strände, Weinstöcke, Kakteen und letztendlich Berge gesehen die ich mit einer analogen 5x7 Zoll Kamera auf Film ablichtete.

The ca. 60km long northeasternmost Canary Island in the Atlantic Ocean is home to more than 100 volcanoes. There were active large volcanic eruptions in the in the last two centuries, however, none. But the lava flows cover still almost a quarter of the island's area today and often only end their path in the Sea.
My goals in Lanzarote were bizarre volcanic and lunar landscapes. I was also completely fascinated by beaches, grapevines, cacti and ultimately seen mountains which I photographed on film with an analog 5x7 inch camera.
