Snap shot. Frankfürt, Germany. Mary Louise Wilson stares up from her baby carriage and dares a photographer to make her smile. San Antonio, Texas. She begins to explore the other side of the camera. Hypo clearing agent might have produced a type of visual lucidity that resulted in mysterious and transcendent photographic visions. Null and void? Au contraire. Mary Wilson Matthews investigated abandoned structures, dusty storage rooms, desolate landscapes and enigmatic mannequins with wild artistic abandon. She published a book of photographs in 2007 entitled "A World Next Door to Yours" the introduction written by a local educator and poet read, "Mary has acquired a remarkable local reputation for her photographs over the last few years”
