About the Book
In recognition of the boundless beauty, authenticity and power of Black Americans, specifically the descendants of American chattel slavery, Indy based visual artist Khaila King curated a Juneteenth Photography showcase hosted at PARADOX. This showcase featured the work of eight Black American Midwest photographers who were tasked to share and produce work that depicted their interpretation of the source of Black excellence, survival and innovation.. joy! Black joy is endless, it can’t be replicated, it can’t be stolen. Black people will always be the unique and creative individuals that they are due to the love, light and joy that exists within them as beings.
