A photographic tribute to The Texas Giant wooden roller coaster at Six Flags Over Texas. Once considered the world's best wooden coaster, The Texas Giant operated from 1990 through November 1, 2009. The ride is now closed and will undergo a $10 million makeover. A "new" Texas Giant will open in 2011 in time for the 50th anniversary of Six Flags.
