    Kathryn (Katie) Adams

I have an interest to bring substance about an ancestor's life beyond the typical birth and death date. Once I have established the basic facts about an ancestor, I do a deep dive research to find an event that an ancestor was involved in and track down facts about the event and how my ancestor was involved in it through old newspapers, history books and any other relevant sources. As I write the story, my goal is to bring out as much as I can about the personality of the ancestor and his/her interactions with those around him during the event. The book "For the Love of Holyoke" is the first story I have completed about an ancestor. I am thrilled to have completed it to share with others for inspiration on how they can write a story about their own ancestor. I am on my second story about another ancestor and hope to have it completed before the end of this year.
