Poems Before Bed is a book of original poems by Sadie Hope Macdonald, written and compiled in and before 2020, the year of the Global Pandemic. The poems in the is series are about the loneliness of that year, and the small joys from small adventures. "Words of Advice" focuses on advice from my mom, about keeping council with yourself. "Melisa" was written for my best friend's bachelorette party during the pandemic. Other poems in this series touch on love, and missing someone.

Also included in this book is "Sadness" (Collection of Poems). This contains a small collection of work from 2019-2020 era. Themes of Love and Sadness

"The case of the dead calf" is short story included near the end. Written in August 2020, based on a true story of finding a dead calf on a ranch in Northern Idaho.

The Loney Harp is another he short story written in July 2019 in Aix-en Provence, France. The narrator is walking home at night and passes a harp player on the streets. The haunting music follows her all the way home. This story was also turned into a poem, included in the "Sadness." collection.
