    About the Book

    Edit

Our first trip to Turkey with Metronome Tours was in 2005 when we spent our time in the western part of the country, from Istanbul, along the Aegean Sea to the Mediterranean Coast. We fell in love with Turkey.

In 2008 on this trip of 3600 kilometers, we followed a similar path along the Aegean Sea and Turquoise Coast from Izmir to Antalya, and then started a new adventure. We flew to Antakya to continue along part of the Silk Road to the Iran and Armenian borders and north to the Black Sea. Part of our journey went through the geographic region known as Kurdistan. Eastern Turkey was truly an adventure as not many tourists travel here, but it is an historically significant and beautiful place, and I hope more people will have the opportunity to see it.

This book was written in January 2021.
