For my environmental studies senior thesis at Vassar College, I interviewed thirty-two Vassar students, faculty, and alumni in order to determine the places from which Vassar has drawn its students and faculty, and what drew these people to Vassar. This thesis also examines the interconnectedness that all these people have with this place called Vassar, by looking at place-based memories of participants. By interviewing cross-generationally, I was also able to get a bigger picture of how Vassar as a place changed or stayed the same over time.. I hope you enjoy!
