I remember hearing film critic, Mark Kermode use the phrase, “nightmare ceserean section” when talking about the iconic chester buster scene in Ridley's Scott's horror classic, Alien, and for reasons unknown, that line came back. I knew then what I wanted to create. I wanted to create something that resembled the graphic and violent nature of childbirth.

Taking advantage of the Halloween Season, I knew I wanted to do something very, very different from the seemingly limitless iterations of the IT Clown, Joker and Harlequin. I wanted to stay far away from slutty variations of popular horror icons and I didn't want to walk down the well-trodden path of zombies, mummies and Dracula. I wanted to do something unique.

That something unique was Birth - a series which gave me the opportunity to work with the very talented make-up artist, Rhi (@thatlipsticklife) Roberts and some very talented and patient models.
