Over our time and travels, we get the chance to pass through some amazing places. The LOCAL COLOR series documents some of the places I have been, some frequently and some only once, which have made an impression on me. In this volume, two favorite places are documented: the Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix, Arizona and Balboa Park in San Diego, California. I have tried to capture a feeling for the uniqueness and beauty of each which intrigues me. The photos have been manipulated in various ways to mimic the influence Kodachrome 64 and vintage postcards have had in shaping my world view.
