The images in this book are a study of form, texture, and composition. This project challenges the limitations of what we can see with our human eye. Because my camera sensor captures both visible and infrared light, the images show elements that we are not able to register. More importantly, the project explores the different stages of beauty. Very often, humans believe that the perfect fruit, flower, house, etc. is the most beautiful one, especially if it is new and youthful. I want to challenge this notion and show the beauty of the passage of time in these flowers. Their forms and textures demonstrate that elegance occurs in all stages of life.
