Born in the year 1989 Collette June Ellis grew up surrounded by the dramatic landscapes of North Wales. From an early age her art been important to her; as a child she always felt at her most contented when expressing herself through drawing or modelling. The inspiration and contentment she felt then continued and grew as she matured into adulthood, and inspired her to follow an artistic career. Her work is often inspired by fantasy and fiction; often drawing inspiration from ancient mythologies from a variety of different cultures. However, however, she has also drawn several portraits, Victorian style silhouettes and occasionally tries her hand at photography. A large proportion of her work is traditional working primarily in watercolour and black ball-point pens; however she also enjoys exploring different mediums within art, and enjoys editing and incorporating various digital elements into her illustrations using Photoshop.
