Before working in finance, Dave grew up on a farm in Parker, Texas. Over the past 15 years, he's observed various farming techniques by traveling to more than 19 different countries around the world. In 2019, he and his wife Kelsey walked through the Serengeti as part of a 10-day walking safari. On their journey, they learned about the beauty of the Serengeti, the importance of sustainable farming, and responsible hunting practices. On their trip, Dave and Kelsey wrote Your African Sunrise: a children's book that helps teach our next generation about the Serengeti's animals and how each contributes something unique to their ecosystem. All profits from Your African Sunrise go to Farm Africa: a charitable organization that helps African farmers grow more, sell more, and sell for more. They pioneer techniques that boost harvests, sustain natural resources and help end Africa's need for aid.
