    Holocaust memories

Convoy 73, which took Jacob to the Baltic States on May 15, 1944, was later nicknamed "the convoy of the forgotten".
In the entire history of the Shoah, it served as an exception because of its singular destiny.
While making the trip to Lithuania, we left in Jacob's footsteps. But by pushing the gates of Fort IX of Kaunas, we found nothing. Only an inscription on the stone of a graffiti-shaped cell indicated: "We are 900 French people".
With our viewfinder as the only witness, we lingered in these timeless places. Between Vilnius and Kaunas, we wanted to grasp the elusive, everything that the body can carry before it collapses, before the soul joins the beam of life.
Forgetting thus wrote its form in the present state to give us its memory.

We are two French sisters, self-taught photographers, Since childhood we have loved and practiced photography. We live in the suburbs of Lille, a region where light is so ephemeral that it often guides our desire to seize the moment. Our view of the world around us is very complementary. We are particularly interested in Street Photography.
