About the Book
This project was made with the Lebanese culture in mind. The road to Rafiq Hariri airport holds many stories, Love, Pain, Humor, Political and cultural differences all take the same road in and out of lebanon, and this is the road to the airport.
Ghassan Rahbani made a song called Tareek Al Matar back in the year 2000, and it described metaphorically the Lebanese culture.
This book has the power to connect every Lebanese to their culture and represent their pain and love to lebanon.
The book is visual and relies on images to tell the story, it has some captions influenced by Ziad Rahbani plays, Songs and Fairuz songs, all in Lebanese dialect written in latin alphabets.
The author wanted to connect old generation and new generation with the current common communication texting method, that is writing Arabic in latin letters.
