Sylvia was raised in Great Britain and emigrated to Canada in 1966. She has a deep love of both countries which is reflected in many of her poems. She enjoys photography which enables her to recapture moments in time when writing. Sylvia presently lives in North Vancouver, British Columbia but has wonderful memories of Oakville, Ontario, where she received much encouragement and comradery from the writers and artists of several groups in the area to which she belonged. Her poems and prose have been published in various local magazines and antholgies. This is her first attempt at compiling a book.
