I discovered poetry in my late twenties but never really pursued it until I started writing to express my encounters with love in my life. As other people began to read my works, they began to ask if I could write for a loved one of theirs. I found my work of this nature was overwhelmingly liked was told on many occasions that it fit the honored person so much better than expected. I have also realized that I can write lyrics for songs if I broaden my scope to allow my feelings more room to express themselves. Poetry is a wonderful way to connect deeply to the many aspects of ones life both inward and outward. I hope you enjoy this collection as much as I still do. M!
